About M&M

Hi! It’s so nice to meet you, and I’m grateful for your visit to my page. In the spirit of connection, I'd like to share a bit about myself and what M&M events mean to me.

Let’s rewind to 2018. I had just graduated from college, feeling the usual anxiety about what was next. My intuition told me that “what’s next” wasn’t an eight-hour desk job. Taking a risk, I went off to a Yoga Teacher Training program in Maui, and it changed my life. Fast forward a few years, and I found the courage to start teaching Vinyasa and Yoga Sculpt at CorePower in San Diego. My favorite part of Yoga Sculpt has always been curating playlists and synchronizing movements to the beat. There’s something magical about a full room moving in synergy, building strength, and enjoying great music.

Now, let’s jump to the beginning of 2024. I kept telling my partner, Dylan, that this would be the year we host an event together—him on the decks and me guiding a class. Then I thought, why not make this a series of events across San Diego, each offering a unique experience centered around music and movement?

And that brings us to now: the creation of Music and Movement events. We aim to offer a transcendent experience to the San Diego community, where participants can indulge in sound-infused movement, connect with others, and enjoy the experience of a lifetime.

In 2018, I traveled to Maui for my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, filled with excitement, anticipation, and curiosity. For three weeks, I fully immersed myself in the yogi lifestyle, surrounded and supported by a wonderful group of young women who quickly felt like family. The yoga practices and traditions I learned, along with the life lessons I experienced during this time, will forever hold a special place in my heart. This journey marked the beginning of my love and deep passion for learning and growing in the yoga and wellness space.

In 2019, driven by my passion for beat-driven, high-intensity workout classes, I embarked on my Yoga Sculpt Teacher Training. This class type captivated me for a couple of reasons. Firstly, my background in competitive sports made me appreciate the dynamic environment created in Yoga Sculpt classes and the highly motivating instructors leading them. Additionally, the high-energy, mood-boosting music sealed the deal for me.

At the beginning of 2024, I decided to elevate my passion for yoga by enrolling in an 800-hour Yoga Therapy program. Delving into the beautiful healing modalities of Yoga and Ayurveda has broadened my perspective on my practice and how we can support others through Yoga Therapy. I hope to integrate the insights and techniques I am learning into every community event I offer.
